The first photo was made in my shop and shows the peice about half finished. The pair and the base is all from one piece of Cape Fear Tupelo. The second photo is a shot of the finished piece along with the Best-In-Show ribbons it recieved at the World Competition in Ocean City, MD.

Don is a wood sculptor specializing in land and aquatic mammals, birds, fish and human figures. Most of his entries into contests are in the realistic categories, but he does enjoy stylizing sculptures. His work has earned awards at the highest level of competiton.

The miniature Eastern Turkey was carved from your tupelo wood. It won Best of Miniature Decorative Wildfowl at Core Sound, Novice Division, in Dec., 2006.

Submission Guidelines

1) All images must be submitted electronically. We prefer JPEG images. Most digital cameras save images as JPEG.

2) All pictures must be your own work. By providing pictures to Cape Fear Tupelo for the Customer Gallery, you are giving us the rights to display, at our discression, your image(s) on our web site without any compensation.

3) All images must be accompanied by information including the carver's name(s), email address (not for publication unless you request it), a description of the pictured project, and any information about the Cape Fear Tupelo used to make it. All images we select for the gallery will give credit to the carver.
